Friday Aug 06, 2021
Friday Aug 06, 2021
This one's for the parent's! Unlike traditional sports, the practice field is in the back yard, weight room is stacking hay and throwing saddles on horses and the equipment is paid for privately, within the family. The children are the athletes and the parents are the coaches, cooks, drivers, managers, budget creators, nurse, counselor and so much more!
Sharon Widmer is a long time professional cowgirl, rodeo producer, clinician, trainer and mother of five, now adult, children with different interests. She joined us to share her insight looking back on what worked, what didn't work and what she suggests to build solid relationships within rodeo families so everyone can succeed and support each other in all seasons!

Looking into the Ditches
Thursday Jul 22, 2021
Thursday Jul 22, 2021
Today's podcast is about looking into the ditches and getting curious about the weeds, grasses and wildflowers. Asking myself what they represent in my life and in yours?. Are you a wildflower, letting your light shine amongst the weeds and the grass? Are you committed to your commitments? Or, are you letting the weeds; negative thoughts, people and actions take hold. What about the grass that represents the mediocrity, laziness and unmotivated people drag you down?
An important thing to remember about wildflowers, is they grow amongst the other plants and undergo the same elements, but they still find a way to stand out, find the light and grow tall. Are you?
