This one's for the parent's! Unlike traditional sports, the practice field is in the back yard, weight room is stacking hay and throwing saddles on horses and the equipment is paid for privately, within the family. The children are the athletes and the parents are the coaches, cooks, drivers, managers, budget creators, nurse, counselor and so much more!
Sharon Widmer is a long time professional cowgirl, rodeo producer, clinician, trainer and mother of five, now adult, children with different interests. She joined us to share her insight looking back on what worked, what didn't work and what she suggests to build solid relationships within rodeo families so everyone can succeed and support each other in all seasons!

Today's podcast is about looking into the ditches and getting curious about the weeds, grasses and wildflowers. Asking myself what they represent in my life and in yours?. Are you a wildflower, letting your light shine amongst the weeds and the grass? Are you committed to your commitments? Or, are you letting the weeds; negative thoughts, people and actions take hold. What about the grass that represents the mediocrity, laziness and unmotivated people drag you down?
An important thing to remember about wildflowers, is they grow amongst the other plants and undergo the same elements, but they still find a way to stand out, find the light and grow tall. Are you?

You never know what a phone call can lead to! The day before we recorded this podcast, Shane Holland from Off R Rocker called RodeoKids.com to talk about their company. We loved their story and their mission AND we just so happened to be looking for our next podcast guest. Timing really is everything!
We're very excited for guests Shane Holland and Rickelle Mathis to tell their story of how two high school friends reconnected and instantly began creating amazing opportunities for their own families and so many more! Off R Rocker is a small, family owned business built so their kids could see how their passion and ideas could become a business that helps other kids chase their dreams too. This amazing company is putting a portion of their proceeds toward sponsoring RODEO kids by helping them get up and down the with entry fees, apparel, fuel and vet bills.
Check them out at www.OffRRocker.com and give them a follow on Facebook and IG!

We all have different storms that brew up at different times in our lives. In this podcast, we talk about different storms that brew up inside of us, those gut feelings that churn, shake and burn inside of us and how we turn those storms into the fuel. By learning to face the storms and sometimes even chase the storms, we learn how to climb the mountains in our life, a.k.a. the goals and dreams!
